Customers generate new customers

This campaign was created by a German print service provider Grunewald from Kassel for LOVEFiLM, the online video service from Amazon.
6,000 customers received image personalized postcards as an invitation to visit their landing pages and to invite their friends to try out LOVEFiLM.

Test the LOVEFiLM camapign

Goal:

Existing customers win test customers. Test customers become new customers after a trial period.

Result:

18% response among existing customers, 22% response among test customers

Campaign steps:

1 Sending an image personalized mail piece
2 Taking recipients to a landing page
3 Sending out personalized mail pieces to friends

Success factors:

If a person receives a personalized card from someone he knows, it creates a higher attention rate.
If this card also contains a voucher with a code that can be redeemed at the LOVEFiLM website, it's even more appealing.
